Medieval castles and gardens:

La Motte-Feuilly is conveniently located next to a number of interesting medieval castles and gardens, including Château Ainay-le-Vieil ( www.chateau-ainaylevieil.fr ), Château de Meillant ( www.chateaudemeillant.fr ), Château de Sarzay ( www.sarzay.net ) and le Prieuré d'Orsan ( www.prieuredorsan.com ).

George Sand:

La Motte-Feuilly is in the center of the Boischaut-Sud, which inspired the novels of George Sand, most notably her home in Nohant ( www.maison-george-sand.fr ).

Jacques Tati and Sainte-Sévère:

La Motte-Feuilly is near Sainte-Sévère, the small village which sheltered Jacques Tati during the Second World War and where he staged his first feature film, Jour de Fête.  All cinema lovers will enjoy the Maison de Jour de Fête, a museum dedicated to this movie ( www.maisondejourdefete.com ).  Since recently, it has become possible to visit the parc and château de Sainte-Sévère (www.chateaudesaintesevere.com).
